Matthew and Mitchell Bradley, Jumping Jacks
Artist Statement
Jumping Jacks is an installation of 250 miniature plastic horses and jockeys shown in three different incarnations. First as an explosion of horses running outward in all directions symbolic of fireworks at the annual Thunder Over Louisville party at the Quonset Hut in the Spring of 2012. Secondly, shown later that Summer in a group show at Swanson Contemporary in Louisville, Ky. The horses corralled into a never ending rainbow colored mobius loop. And finally in our studio as a marching army of ant-like, gravity defying wall crawlers changing colors when they meet a corner.
