ABOUT Rosalie Rosenthal
Rosalie Rosenthal is an artist working across photographic media to explore themes of time, mortality and legacy. She brings an idiosyncratic perspective to her images, revealing the transient nature of the objects, people, and places she photographs.
Rosenthal received a BFA from the University of Louisville’s Hite Art Institute and a BA in History from Smith College. National exhibitions include Oceanside Museum of Art, KMAC Contemporary Art Museum, the Griffin Museum of Photography, Filter Space Gallery in Chicago, Spalding University, and Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati. Her photographs have been published in Shadow and Light Magazine and Manifest Gallery Photography Annuals and collected by 21c Museum Hotels. She held residencies at Residency Unlimited and Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Rosenthal lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
